Nehemiah 9:1-9
The Israelites confess their sins.
Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors.
They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in confession and in worshiping the Lord their God.
Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Here, reversing the usual order, feasting is followed by fasting, joy by sorrow. The nation's repentance is genuine. Wrongs are righted and the people turn to God in confession and worship. The people's prayer - the prelude to renewal of the covenant -begin with God's work of creation and recalls his loving and faithful dealings with a rebellious nation from the time of Abraham to their won day, when they come to him as slaves in their own land because of their sin.
Why?
Real revival is beginning from the confess our sins. Among worshiping and confessing after read the Laws of the Lord. Turn the word to action.
Read the bible everyday is habit, but put it in practice is change our life to the Lord.
God is the Lord, He alone is the Lord!
How?
Confess my sins and worship the Lord, for He alone is my God, my way and my hope!
