Proverbs 30:1-33
Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Keep false hood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say,'Enough', the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, 'Enough'.
For as churning cream produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife(爭吵.)
Both Agur and Lemuel are non-Israelites. 'Massa' was an Arab tribe descended from Abraham's son Ishmael. The East was famous for it wisdom, right down to Christ's own day. Agur is a man who's close observation of t life and nature have taught him humility.
V19: He finds four sources of wonder: how the eagle can soar; how the snake can move without legs; how the ship can ride the waves; and the mysterious attraction which draws a man to a woman.
Why?
How marvelous the Lord created this world and nature. how wonderful God made the rules and nature in everything.
There are somethings never satisfied in the world so as men do not desire so much and never satisfied.
Like Jesus taught us how to pray, give us daily bread is enough to me. No poverty nor riches but give me only my daily bread.
How?
God's word is flawless, God is shield to those who take refuge in him.
