An Amalekite was hoping for a reward from David

2 Samuel 1:1-16
An Amalekite came to David's camp and reported that he killed Saul when he leaned on his spear.
This man should not a member of Israelite but the enemy. He tries to get some benefit from David for he knew Saul is pursuing David.
The Amalekites' story differs from the account of Saul's death in 1 Samuel 31. If he wisted the facts hoping for a reward, he did not know David. After the Amalekite raid on Ziklag David had no cause to love his race. Nonetheless, it was not racial discrimination but his strong conviction that the king's life was sacred that led to the death sentence.
Why?
In the battle, there is a confusing place, no one knew the truth and belonging. Some thieves or men with greedy hearts may take some benefit.
But David is honoring the Lord, they mourning for Saul's death and kill this guy who killed Saul.
Anyone who against the Lord's anointed is against the Lord.
How?
Honor the name of the Lord with honor the anointed servant of the Lord.
