These uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me

1 Samuel 31:1-13
These uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.
Saul took his own sword and fell on it. When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died with him. So Saul and his three sons and his armor-bearer and all his men died together that same day.
When the people of Jabesh Gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, all their valiant men marched through the night to Beth Shan. They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth Shan and went to Jabesh, where they burned them. Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.
The writer of Chronicles found this account of Saul's death more credible than the Amalekite's story. The latter may well have adjusted the facts to suit his own ends. Fittingly, it is the men of Jabesh who rescue the bodies. They have not forgotten what they owe to Saul's first great victory.
Why?
Even Saul dies, Philistine really abuse his body.
Saul knew he was anointer man before the Lord, He afraid he will be killed and shamed by uncircumcised men.
Saul and his three sons and armor-bearer died together. Showing their honor to the country and the Lord.
People of Jabesh Gilead did not forget the favor of Saul has done to them.
How?
Honor name of the Lord for we are sons of the Lord. Be aware of who we are and our mission in the world.
