Discretion and understanding

1 Chronicle 22:1-18
May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel,so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
If you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. David said to Solomon.
David said to all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon" God has handed you rest on every side. For he has handed the inhabitants of the land over to me, and the land is subject to the Lord and to his people. Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God.
It probably belongs to the time of Solomon's co-regency with his father, which may have lasted some years, David never stopped longing to build God a house fit for him.
He accepted the set-back of God's refusal and turned all his energy and enthusiasm to the things he could do: deciding the plan; amassing materials; deciding the plan.
Why?
You have shed much blood: This does not imply that Solomon was morally better than David, or that David's wars were not justified. These very wars bought Solomon's reign of peace in a strong kingdom, and with it the freedom for king and nation to concentrate at last on the great task of building God's temple.
David reminded his son Solomon many times to observe the decrees and laws of God, but alas he turned to the gods in last of his life.
David really understood his kingdom is come from the gift of the Lord, it is the blessing of the Lord, so he devoted his all to prepare any materials to build the house to the Lord.
How?
Thank the Lord's mercy and love, with the Lord I can do nothing.  May I have discretion and understanding to keep the keep the laws of the Lord, my God.
