Chapter 8 describes the genealogy of Saul the Benjamite.
Issachar; Benjamin, (This does not tie in with chapter 8 and it has been suggested that verse 6-11 refer to Zebulun, otherwise omitted altogether, and that verse 12 is the end of a lost list of Dan). Naphtali; the half tribe of Manasseh; Ephraim; Asher.
The families of Benjamin; the family line of Saul, Israel's first king.
when the ten northern tribes broke way to form the kingdom of Israel, Benjamin became part of the southern kingdom, joining Judah,
Why?
Zelophehad who had only daughters, my situation is like him. Even the daughters have the same right to inherit the right of tribe and family.
Genealogy: let us remember where we came from, and what we inherited. Culture should not be our limit but keep the merit of my culture.
How?
My inheritance is the arrangement of the Lord for me, I am glad that I have two daughters. They are the gift of the Lord to me.
