1 Chronicles 17:1-15
David loves God so he wanted to build a house for the Lord.
God reply to David the word of the entire revelation through prophet Nathan.
I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cur off all your enemies from before you.
It seems wrong to David that he should have a palace to live in while the Ark of God is still housed in a tent.
And his attitude is right. God refuses his request, but expresses his love and approval of David in the promise of a dynasty which will ever die out, and in allowing Solomon to build the Temple.
David does not let disappointment shadow his glad acceptance of God's answer.
From God's promise to David sprang the hope of a Messiah.
Why?
The attitude of David is right, so as we should have the attitude to ponder the mind and heart of the Lord. If view from the Lord what should I do, or request to the Lord.
God will reply my request through himself or through may ways.
How?
Meditate the mind of God, do whatever may honor the name of the Lord.
