1 Chronicle 16:1-43
David's Psalm of Thanks to the Lord.
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always, remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.
For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.
These may be typical of what Asaph's choir sang before the Ark, rather than the actual words. At Jerusalem and at Gibeon provision is made for daily sacrifices and praise to God in words and music.
Why?
Proper worship is earliest times music has held a special place in worship.
No matter what happen, look to the Lord and his strength, seek his face always.
Remember the wonder he has done, so we may not fear the trouble and challenge.
All of gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Our Lord is the mighty God.
How?
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always! I know I can't, but the Lord can do it for me. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise!
