Romans 4:6-9
David says the same thing when he speak of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works.
Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.
So this blessedness for the circumcised and also for the uncircumcised. For Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness.
God accepted Abraham not because of his good life, but because of his faith.
Why?
Paul declared important issue that blessed is the man whom God credits righteousness apart from works. And Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness. So no matter to the circumcised or not, it is because of the faith can be credited as righteousness by God.
How?
How precious to us, gentiles, that we may be credited righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ.
