Romans 7:14-25
The law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
In my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God - through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Paul takes a personal example. He describes his own situation as a Jew, knowing the law and finding himself condemned by it, to the point of despair. This is how it was before he found deliverance from the grip of sin.
He knew what was good and right, yet he found himself unable to do it. Sin held him prisoner.
Who could effect his escape? 'Who but God? ... through Jesus Christ our Lord'
Why?
Do not hate the wicked one or the evil doer, for they all are sinner, belong to the flesh, unspiritual man. Only Jesus Christ can rescue them.
God loves everyone, for man have no capability to leave the dead and slave to sin.
Thanks be to God, who can save us, Jesus Christ only.
How?
Love good men and sinner men both. All are sinner in the world, proclaim the good new to the people in darkness.
