The death and resurrection of Jesus has given us a new standing before God

 Romans 5:1-5

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

The death and resurrection of Jesus have given us a new standing before God. We have life. We have peace. We have hope. We have the presence of the Holy Spirit. There is point and meaning now to the Holy Spirit. There are a point and meaning now to the rough and tumble of life.

Why?

Rejoice/Boast in the hope of the glory of God: Rejoice and boast in the hope of the glory of God, for we have peace with the Lord through Jesus Christ.

For this joy we know suffering produces perseverance, then produce character, and produce hope, so we won't put us to shame.

Love and hope. Joice from the Lord is great than any other in the world. The point is Jesus Christ has given us a new standing before God.

生命的改變與成長： 第一個祝福是與神合好，與神相和：更多領受恩典，第一個祝福就是與神和好，可以談話，好像朋友、家人一樣。第二個祝福，站在恩典中：我們的地位已經在領受恩典、被愛的地位當中，原來是被咒詛、刑罰的地位。第三個祝福是歡歡喜喜的盼望將來的榮耀：將來更大的祝福。與神的榮耀誇口，得到神的榮耀，所以可以誇口。連患難對基督徒的生命也是有益處的。忍耐不是無耐，而是一種勝過患難的力量。老練不是油條，而是通過考驗合格的人。不會動不動就受傷，就要離開教會，而是生命更成熟，不是專注在眼前，眼前的患難不能攔阻。聖靈在我們心中有愛，因為我知道神有愛，對未來是有盼望的。
