Hosea 2:14-23
Betroth: 聘; to arrange for the marriage of.
Respond: to make a return by some action as if in answer
In that day, You will call me 'my husband'; you will not longer call me 'my master'.
I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and your will acknowledge the Lord.
In that day I will respond to the skies, and they will responding to the earth; and the earth will respond to the grain, the new wine and oil, and they will respond to Jezreel (Means God's plant, God's sow).
I will say 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God'.
Why?
In the infinitely tender language of love, God speaks of a better future, a new covenant protecting his people from all danger (both fro wild beats ad from military aggression), a people betrothed and faithful to him.
In that day is the end of world, when Jesus comes back again.
The relationship between us and the Lord are from master to husband. The Lord make a new covenant to his people, as Jesus came give us a new life through Him, and with love.
Am I acknowledge the Lord?
How?
The wrath of the Lord are temporary, but His love endure forever.
For the relationship is so closer with the Lord through Jesus, I should not fear and go forward in his righteousness and faithfulness.
