Unfaithful wife - faithless nation

Hosea 2:2-13
The Lord described Israel forgot Him as a adulterous wife.
Israel forgot all her have was the Lord gave her, includes food, water, wool linen, oil and drink. Israel chased after her lovers nut not catch them she will look for them but not find them.
The Lord will punish her for the days she burned incense to the Baals; she decked herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers.
Why?
Hosea's voice, pleading with his unfaithful wife, becomes one with the voice of God addressing Israel. The people are worshiping Baal, the Canaanite fertility god, thinking he is the one who gives good crops and plentiful harvests; when all the time it is God. They will be punished.
Unfaithful wife - faithless nation.
The relationship between God and Israel is vividly portrayed in the prophet's own marriage - unfaithfulness breakdown and healing.
God had punish to Israel, because she is His child so God has punishment on her, hope she may repent and return.
How?
What I am chasing for? Is the lover of this world or chasing the pleasure of the Lord? Don't forget the mercy of the Lord.
