Ephesians 1:15-23
Faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints. Paul appreciated these behavior of Christians.
Paul prayed to them the Lord may give the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
Paul prayed also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that 1)you may know the hope to which he has called you, 2)the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and 3)his incomparable great power for us who believe.
Jesus Christ was appointed to be head over everything for the Church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Why?
From the beginning God determined to share his spiritual riches and glory with us - 'in Chris' (Key phrase of Ephesians).
As we believe in him, his death sets us free; we cane be forgiven. We can also share his new, risen life. We are made one with him, part of him. And in him we too are caught up in God's great world plan as we live to his glory.
A surer grasp of their glorious destiny, and increased awareness of the power at their disposal. The power God exercised in raising Christ from the dead and setting him in supreme control of the universe is at work in us, too!
The picture carries the concept of the same life flowing through both; of the church carrying our Christ's work in the world.
Believed in Jesus Christ and love saints is the central goal of Christians.
God's plan is so great and he cares us, let our eyes see the hope, the riches of his glorious and his great power for us.
How?
Dear Lord, please open my eyes of heart may be enlightened and see your great hope , power and glory.
